Posted by saphire | Beauty Blogging | Friday 3 July 2009 10:48 AM

Fabulous foot care, follow these steps and you’re on your way to having fabulous feet.

Step 1 – Shoes that are too tight can cause corns, if they’re not to developed soften them with Double Action Foot Soak. And gently remove the with the Metal Smoothing File.

Step 2 – Take care of your feet regularly to keep calluses under control. Use the Pedi-Brasion Scrub or Pedi Peel Pads to remove dead and rough skin.if this skin is not removed it will become hard and thick, and can become cracked and infected, making walking difficult.

Step 3 – Whenever your feet and legs feel tired, massage them with Leg and Muscle Rub with Mint and Rosemary. You’ll have a spring in your step in no time!

Step 4 – To precent your feet becoming smelly – especially after sport, Spray feet and shoes with Odour Neutralising Foot Spray.

Step 5 – Use the Pumice Stone and Brush when showering. Gently exfoliate with the pumice and give toes and toenails a stimulating scrub with the brush. Your toenails will gleam!

Step 6 – The skin on the soles of your feet doesn’t have any oil glands to soften them. So put a generous amount of Overnight Treatment for Extremely Dry Feet on your feet before you go to bed and then pull on a pair of cotton socks. You’ll awaken to beautiful soft feet.

Job Woes: More Avon Ladies Calling..

Job woes: more Avon ladies will be calling

The following is an article from http://www.smh.com.au
it was published a few months ago but I believe still very much current news.

Danielle Teutsch
March 15, 2009

THE next time the Avon lady calls, it may well be a victim of the credit crunch standing on the doorstep.

Avon’s Australian arm has signed on 7224 new sales representatives nationally since starting a recruitment drive at the end of February.

Spokeswoman Michaela Groves attributed the huge surge in recruits – the company normally appoints between 300 and 400 a week – to the economic downturn. Women who had signed up included those who had been retrenched, as well as those looking to supplement household income because their husbands had lost jobs.

Of the new recruits, 1767 were from the greater Sydney area.

“We are seeing women taking it on as a second income if their husband’s hours have been cut or if their jobs are in jeopardy,” she said.

“There are also mums who up until now have had the luxury of not being able to work who now need to contribute to household income.”

Figures released last week show the national jobless rate is now at 5.2 per cent, with 54,000 full-time jobs lost last month. The female unemployment rate rose 0.5 per cent to 5.3 per cent.

Ms Groves said Avon started its television recruitment campaign last month to coincide with the economic downturn, on the advice of its American parent company.

In the United States, there has been a similar surge in women applying to be Avon representatives since it launched a recruitment drive last year called “It Pays To Be With Avon”, offering perks such as petrol money and free online sales training.

Avon representatives make their money by selling cosmetics door-to-door, receiving commission on a sliding scale from 15 to 50 per cent, depending on their experience.

Last year, Charli Hill was working as a team leader at a large banking corporation in Sydney, climbing the ranks of middle management and earning a six-figure salary.

“Not in a million years” did she imagine herself working as an Avon lady. But, like many of her colleagues, Ms Hill was a victim of the struggling corporation’s second wave of redundancies in December.

She initially started searching for a new position in the banking sector, where she has worked for the past decade. But as she realised jobs were hemorrhaging everywhere she turned her attention to other sources of income.

There was no time to waste. Ms Hill is a single mother of two high-school-age children and calculated her redundancy payout would last only five months. A friend referred her to Avon and she signed up last month.

She knows that in this economic climate, any source of potential income is to be appreciated.

“What I like about [Avon] is that you can work your own hours, work near home and build the business up to as big as you want,” she said.

At the same time, Ms Hill is studying to be a financial planner to broaden her qualifications and improve future employment chances.

Truest Quote About Avon Business.

I was reading through the Beauty Wagon  Blog site when I came accross this quote about Avon business.

The most self defeating thing in our business is our self!!
I will say it again…..
The most self defeating thing in our business is our self!
Why?  Because we are afraid to promote OURSELVES!

This struck a cord with me as it is totally true, quite often a representative will chuck in the towel with Avon
because there business is not succeeding, but if they questioned a little deeper and perhaps promoted themselves and there business more and treated it as a business rather then a hobby that brings occational funds and treats….they may have had a different out come.

The blog writer Phylis Concordia goes on to say……

You do not have a neon sign above your head that says you sell AVON,
no you don’t have to be pushy or tacky about it.  But if you don’t promote it, who will?

My husband also has an awesome way of setting me straight when I show self doubt or hesitation he will simply say

“What is the worst they can say?….no….and if your not afraid to hear no then what difference does it make?”
